OUR ACTIVITIES
Special Education (Individualized Education Program) – there are three four levels of special
education is offered in the school.These are categorized as level 1, level-2, level-3, advanced. Ms. Navya provides the special education.Children with additional needs require hand-holding and support to function effectively in traditional classrooms. These are offered under the following categories.
SPEECH THERAPY
Speech Therapy helps the kids with cognitive deficits which affect the speech. This is a therapy for speech and language disorders, receptive or communicative disorders. Difficulties in understanding or processing language or difficulty in putting the words together to form sentences, or trouble expressing or communicating in a socially acceptable way. We will be providing speech therapy in a 1:1 teacher-student ratio. Ms. Swapna provides the speech therapy.
BEHAVIORAL THERAPY
Behavioral Therapy is an umbrella term for types of therapy that treat mental health disorders.This seeks to identify and help change potentially self destructive behaviors.It functions on the idea that all the behaviors are learned and therefore unhealthy behaviors can be changed through therapy. Ms. Navya and Mrs. Anitha Kumari provides these therapies.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The occupational therapist carefully chooses age-appropriate activities to help kids perform everyday tasks, such as getting the children dressed, brushing teeth, and eating with ease. Ms. Navya and Mrs. Anitha Kumari provide these therapies.
PYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELLING
These are designed for the children with attitude and behavioral problems.We help the kids overcome abuse, trauma, hyperactivity, depression, anxiety and other such difficulties. Mrs. Dhanalskhmi G provides these to the children.
YOGA THERAPY
Yoga Therapy is the process of the application of principles of yoga to treat various mind-body ailments and diseases.In this school, yoga therapy is provided in a group-based setting for improvement of their behaviors of these special needs children. Weekly twice 1 hour sessions are provided by Hareesh Edamadaka.
DANCE
We provide movements based dance classes weekly once to all the children.This is provided by Mr. Veeresh
COCHLEAR IMPLANTATION POST THERAPY
Cochlear Implantation Post Therapy for the children who have undergone cochlear implantation surgery in hospitals are provided special speech therapy. Ms Swapna provides this therapy.
